This happened to my rd shortly after purchase last year.
Dura ace di2 front derailleur not working.
The crankset is a dura ace 7900 and it only has 300 miles.
Check you battery by holding down your shifter.
The way it s shifting now is that it tries to catch the big chainring but it takes much longer than it s supposed to.
Di2 gives you instant accurate lighting fast shifts the first and every time at the push of a button.
Whenever i shift from small to large chainring it s not smooth the way di2 is intended.
Note that i could also have selected the dura ace fd r9150 front derailleur if i wanted to.
In the image above i have selected the sm ew90 junction box r9150 series dura ace shifters and two 11 speed derailleurs.
Thanks to its clever design it can handle a cassette range of 11 30.
Back off the allen screws and it should start working.
Check front index setting.
Though the h11 crank has a slightly wider chain line for disc brake dropout spacing that would not be an impediment to it working with current 11 speed di2 road front derailleurs.
The bike shops stated so but can t seem to fix the issue.
I had a road bike that had di2 and i had a similar problem with the rear derailleur where it would for no apparent reason stop shifting and then after playing with the wires unplugging at the shifters junction box and derailleur it would suddenly work.
What could be the issue.
If you find it hard to remember which button shifts up or down think of it this way.
Even in the most extreme conditions shifting is precise and controlled.

The front derailleur maintains its compact and smooth appearance for the dura ace r9100 series.
This happened for a few weeks until i couldn t get the rear derailleur to shift.
The 11 speed dura ace di2 rear derailleur ensures ergonomic stable and effective shifting without stress thanks to a low profile design and shimano shadow rd.
Shift the di2 front derailleur in order to shift the front deraileur you use the left lever and press either switch x the bigger button or switch y smaller.
Chain shifts well to largest front chainring but outer cage rubs after shift is completed.
Pressing the larger button will shift to a larger chainring.
Chain shifts slowly or not at all to smallest front chainring.
With di2 you are in complete control.
You can change gear even under heavy load while climbing or accelerating.
Front derailleur index setting off and or l limit screw too tight and or rotation of cage is off.
Start with your battery and work your way down.
